who we are

Alhaji Nuhu Memorial Healthcare Centre is a private and community based Not-for-Profit healthcare center providing affordable and basic/primary health care services. The center was established in April 2005 and is registered both in Ghana as an NGO under The Companies Code, 1963 (ACT 179) and in the United States of America under section 501-©-3 of the IRS Code.

Our vision

The vision of the Alhaji Nuhu Memorial Healthcare Centre (ANMHC) is to be the premier healthcare choice for health and medical services for the residents of Kamgbunli and the surrounding communities.

Our mission

Our mission is to improve the life of residents in the community. We seek to establish a healthcare centre that serves as a catalyst to educate and meet the basic healthcare needs of the under-privileged residents of Kamgbunli by providing a continuum of healthcare services that enable the residents to improve their health status.

Goals

Due to the challenge of endemic tropical diseases such as malaria, Leprosy and Buruli Ulcer, river blindness, Schistosomiasis, Trachoma, Soil Transmitted Helminthes (intestinal worms), kwashiorkor, Yaws and elephantiasis that are prevalent in this part of the country, it is our goal to strive to achieve the following:

  • To transform Kamgbunli from a deprived village into a self-sustaining village; equipped with basic amenities such as primary healthcare, health awareness, sanitation, nutrition, parenthood services and clean drinking water
  •  To make the Healthcare Centre user-friendly for all patients
  • To be progressive in service to it’s patients and surrounding communities as a leader in healthcare issues including maternity and midwifery services
  • To be recognized for the quality of care provided to patients
  • To collaborate with volunteers, medical practitioners, provider organizations and other charitable institutions to provide a continuum of healthcare services
  • To set up a modern out-patient and specialty care oriented facility; computerized with the latest information systems linking all elements of the network throughout the service area
  • To make the centre integrated through a network of healthcare services that will extend to other communities with several levels of care.
